[ Company History ]

The Company was conceived by Mr. Robert Tracy, Dr. Stewart Prince and Mr. Richard Tracy, Jr. in December 2007. The corporation was formed in Delaware on December 21, 2007.

American Mechatronics, Inc. (AMI) acquired PerformanceFI--a company created by Dr. Prince--in 2008 to begin its portfolio of mechatronic products. Through PerformanceFI, Dr. Prince designed, built, and sold the Pegasus Fuel Injection system. This system replaces the carburetor on almost any Harley-Davidson motorcycle engine or clone. It is a smart device with a proprietary electronic control module (brain) that makes any older Harley (or new build) more responsive, better on gas, and less polluting.
